It ranges from pipe bending machines to ditchpadding equipment, from pipe handling and support equipment to pipe facing and beveling machines, and internal line up clamps, among many other specialist items.

 

CRC-Evans Automatic Welding

 

We design and build the world’s most widely used automatic welding systems for land and offshore pipeline construction. Our equipment line includes single or dual torch welding systems, internal welding machines, copper back up clamps, and precision pipe facing machine.

 

CRC-Evans Weighting Systems

 

CRC-Evans offers complete buoyancy control capabilities including conventional concrete weights, saddle bag weights, form and machine applied concrete coating, screw anchors and pipe mechanical protection coating.

 

PIH Field Joint Coating

 

PIH contract services include pipe surface preparation application of all anti corrosion coating systems, thermal insulation and other specialty coatings. Also offered is induction heating for pipeline welding and polyurethane infill coating systems, and foam breaker systems.

 

PIH Services-Non Destructive Testing

 

The range of services available is manual and automated Ultrasonic Scanning system including TOFD. Also, provided is Pipeline Weld Inspection using Digital x-ray and gamma ray techniques in conjunction with battery powered self-propelled crawlers. PIH Services also provides various methods of testing including Digitisation of Radiographs, Automated Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Penetrant Examination, Leak Detection, and Hardness Testing. Paul Evans

Chairman of CRC-Evans from 1997 to 2001 and President of predecessors to CRC-Evans since 1992. Served on the Board of Directors of Enterra from 1988 to 1995. Graduated from the University of Tulsa with a BA in Business Administration. Honorary member of IPLOCA and PLCA, the largest industry associations.

 

 

 

Tim Carey

Affiliated with the pipeline industry and CRC-Evans’ predecessors since 1972. For CRC-Evans, Mr. Carey has held the position of Division Manager of the Automatic Welding division, Executive Vice President and President. Appointed President of Enterra’s Oilfield Services and Equipment Group after CRC-Evans was acquired by Enterra. Appointed Senior Vice President of Weatherford Enterra after the merger of Weatherford and Enterra. Co-led the management buyout of CRC-Evans in 1997 and was then appointed Chief Executive Officer of CRC-Evans. Graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BS in Chemical Engineering and from Stanford University with an MBA.

 

 

 

Mike Smith

President of PIH Holdings prior to being appointed Chief Operating Officer CRC-Evans in September 2001. Co-founded the PIH Group in 1979 acting as Marketing Director and then Managing Director. Built the group through acquisitions DIDCOT, Alkhaja and Somico. Served in an Executive position through Enterra, Weatherford and LG&E acquisitions of CRC-Evans. Served on the board of IPLOCA (International Pipeline Offshore Contractors Association) for seven years. Greg Laake

Has 19 years of experience in the energy services industry. Served eight years as divisional CFO for three of the five divisions of National Oilwell, a $1.8 billion oilfield services company. Directly participated in completing over $1.6 billion of merger and acquisition transactions at National-Oilwell. Worked for five years as Chief Accountant and Director or Corporate Planning and Analysis for Weatherford Enterra Corporation. Began his auditing career with KPMG Peat Marwick. Mr. Laake is a Texas Certified Public Accountant.
