HISTORY
In 1966, the R.J. BOLTE COMPANY, an international freight forwarding and customhouse brokerage firm, was founded by Richard J.Bolte, Sr.
During
the last three years BDP INTERNATIONAL has experienced growth, including an
increase of 40% in new jobs.
BDP
INTERNATIONAL is headquartered in Philadelphia, the company has more than 20
offices across the United States and a network of joint venture associates in
over 100 countries worldwide Richard J. Bolte, Sr. was born and raised in
Philadelphia, where he attended Northeast Catholic High School. After military
service in Alaska during the Korean War, he earned a B.S. Degree in Business
Administration from LaSalle University. In 1992 Mr. Bolte received a Doctorate
of Humane Letters from Mount St. Mary's College, Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Following
his graduation from LaSalle, Mr. Bolte worked in an entry-level position for a
small Philadelphia firm involved with the facilitation of exports. This early
experience in exporting, led him to establish his own firm in 1966, aptly named
the R.J. BOLTE COMPANY. Ten years later, as a result of series of mergers and
acquisitions, the company became BDP INTERNATIONAL.
