Foundation

The Josef Wagner-Foundation in Friedrichshafen/Germany

After extensive thought Josef Wagner, the founder of the company, set up the non-profit-making JOSEF WAGNER FOUNDATION in Friedrichshafen in 1972 and by 1986 had gradually transferred all his shares in the company to this. In addition to this, he named the JOSEF WAGNER FOUNDATION as his sole heir. In 1980, for the administration of this foundation, Josef Wagner appointed an independent 5-member foundation council, who had to administer the income from the assets of this company and thus those of the foundation.
The foundation capital put in by Josef Wagner, and his wife Elisabeth Wagner, amounted to € 6 million. The total foundation assets now contain around € 12 million and consist essentially of the shares in the company, loans and securities, the income from which is able to finance the charitable payments by the foundation.

The Josef Wagner-Foundation in Altstätten / Switzerland

In the course of building up another production site in Altstätten in the Swiss Rhine valley, Josef Wagner set up the Swiss Josef Wagner Foundation in 1975 and gradually transferred to it the ownership of his company there, WAGNER International AG, Altstätten/SG
