FURTHER INFORMATION
The
company under review is controlled by Impregilo Group and is active as a
general plant engineering contractor
either directly in seawater desalination, waste water and solid waste treatement as well as through its fully owned
company FISIA BABCOCK ENVIRONMENT in
the flue gas treatment and solid waste incineration. It also acts in the environment management services, including
the collection and disposal of solid
municipal, hospital and industrial waste.
2005 was for the company a very complicated period due to isolated and
contingent situations as for example
the continuing inability of the market in Italy to bring waste incineration and mitigtion projects
into full and sustainable operation and/or
the euro/dollar exchange rate.
At the same time during 2005 subject has layed the groundwork for the
start of a positive cysle of
development and strengthening in the strategic sectors in which the company operates.
Among
the others, we have to mention the rising demand in desalination markets,
the good prospects for the German
subsidiary Fisia babcock Environment in the waste-to- energy and pollutant emissions treatment sector.
Moreover
on 12.07.2006 the company under review took over part of the activities of IMPREGILO EDILIZIA E SERVIZI SPA - FC
00859640153 and on 25.05.2006 handed down ist transportation activity to ECO
TRAVEL SRL - FC 02299270922.
Unfortunately 2006 accounts are not available yet for public inspection
and so we cannot comment 2006 trend,
but information collected are positive enough.
