Subject is importers of shoe making machinery for the Indian
manufacturers. Now, they have been importing and selling Torielli make of
machines from Italy for a long time. The company themselves suggested that they
represent them in India and a new firm was formed called Torielli Rag Petro and
C S P A to import the machinery from the parent company and service any
customers enquiring about their products. Subject is another firm run by Mr.
Muralidharan and Mr. Aneez Ahmed that takes care of the marketing of Torielli
products. These gentlemen represent the parent firm in the name of Torielli Rag
and Petro C S P A and sell their products under the name of Techno Impex. The
company supplies the machinery under a special price to them and the difference
in the cost and selling price is their profit. The company also pays them for
representing them. The office at Nugambakkam which we visited is their godown
and a double bed room ground floor apartment in a very decent residential
locality. Their main office is right in the Leather market of Chennai on EVR
Periyar road very near Periamet.
It does not
export.
