The Concern is exporters, traders and producers of fishmeal, fish oil
and related Marine commodities.
The Concern was established in 1969 by a
young entrepreneur, Mr. Anwar Hussain, soon after he graduated from college.
Hailing from a successful business family, Mr.Hussain who is currently the M D
of Marine Enterprises, has a natural flair for business, a quality which he has
proved several times over, with the successful management of the company. Mr.
Anwar Hussain is assisted by three other directors, who are involved with the
marketing aspects of their business
They export to Japan, south East Asian Countries and also to leading Aqua feed
manufacturers and Poultry Feed manufacturers in India.
They also produce Industrial Grade Fishoil which are used in Leather Tanneries,
soap manufacture, Paint Industries in India and is also exported to Gulf
Countries where Fishoil is used as preservative of wooden hulls of Fishing and
Wooden Crafts.
Located at Mangalore, a coastal town situated on the South West of
India, Marine Enterprises began its operations on a small scale by exporting
and trading in Marine Products. In 1972, they diversified into producing fish
meal and fish oil at a new manufacturing unit at Ullal. In 1991, Marine
Enterprises opened a second fish meal plant, called Western Sea Food.
With Exports being the main thrust of our business interests, we export fish
fertilisers to Holland, and Fish Meal and Fish Oil to Dubai. Their other
business interests include the importing of timber and plywood which operates
under the name of Marine Group.
