FURTHER INFORMATION
OPERATING RESULTS
AND FUTURE OUTLOOK:
During the year, the weakness in dollar has severely impacted the sales
realization that resulted in the marginal decrease of 0.25% in the turnover of
the company as compared to last year. However, in terms of dollars, the company
registered a growth of more than 10% compared to last year. But the increase in
turnover could not generate more revenue due to weakening of dollar, there by
less realization.
The profit of the company dipped to Rs. 16.250 Millions as compared to
that of Rs. 27.370 Millions in the last year. The factors that caused to the
decrease were increase in the input costs, strong rupee leading to lesser
realization of export bills and intense international competition.
As the company is a 100% EOU, the exchange rate fluctuation has an important
bearing on its profitability. The adverse effect of exchange fluctuation is
largely off set during the current year as dollar has appreciated by nearly 8%
since December 2007. The company plans to rationalize the product mix for
higher productivity and lower production cost. It is expected that the company
would be able to meet the challenge of growth in turnover and increase in
profitability.

the Water
The fact that water is essential to the being needs little
mention. About 75% of planet earth and almost 90% of the human body comprises
this vital liquid. Water is a crucial resource and demands a deep understanding
and concern.
Many of them, who once gave little or no thought to knowing
more about it, are now asking pertinent questions - How safe is my drinking
water? What is being done to improve the security of public water systems?
Where does my drinking water come from, and how is it treated? What can I do to
help protect my drinking water?
