PinAcle Stainless
Steel (PinAcle), a Canadian-owned, Edmonton-based company specializing in stainless
steel, is pleased to announce their continued involvement in the Alberta Carbon
Trunk Line (ACTL) through the supply of corrosion-resistant stainless steel
piping products essential for carbon capture.
As the first
extensive commercial carbon capture and storage (CCS) project in Alberta, the
ACTL will provide widespread economic benefits and focus on reducing
environmental impacts. PinAcle has been involved in the ACTL project since 2007
in a variety of capacities, such as supplying budgetary advice and providing
technical knowledge of line sizes, alloys, and wall thicknesses. PinAcle's
expertise in the storage, marshalling, and distribution of stainless steel and
specialty alloy pipe, tube, fittings, flanges and valves, will deliver
cost-saving supply strategies and locally-produced products for the ACTL.
"PinAcle has
extensive experience from past involvement on a variety of CO2 capture and
enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects. We are excited that the Alberta
Government is working with industry to reduce CO2 emissions, support EOR
projects and stimulate the local economy," said Scott Ion, Director of
Projects at PinAcle. "Our involvement in the ACTL to date has been a
thorough, patient persistence that will help to ensure a well-designed and
expertly-executed project."
"Enhance is
looking forward to our continued affiliation with PinAcle, a Canadian-owned,
local supplier with extensive knowledge of stainless steel production and
supply," said Blair Eddy, Vice President Operations, Enhance Energy Inc.
"Their expertise and experience will add economic benefits to the overall
ACTL project."

About PinAcle Stainless Steel
PinAcle Stainless
Steel is Canada's premier stocking distributor of Stainless, Duplex, and
Specialty Alloy Steel pipe, tube, fittings, flanges, valves, and Fasteners.

About the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line (ACTL)
The ACTL will be
capable of gathering CO2 from several sources in the Alberta's Industrial
Heartland and transporting the CO2 to existing mature oil fields throughout
South-Central Alberta. These oilfields will see significant increases in
production as CO2 is permanently stored in the reservoir. The capture and permanent
storage of CO2 will result in significant reductions in emissions of greenhouse
gases in Alberta. The initial supply of CO2 will come from North West Upgrading
Inc. and Agrium Inc.
