Indian Patent News
22 August 2011
|
[What follows is
the full text of the article.] New Delhi, Aug.
22 -- Germany based Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH filed patent application
for display device for indicating movement and position of a rotary
component. The inventors are Dieter Dhonel and Josef Neumeyer. Maschinenfabrik
Reinhausen GmbH filed the patent application on Feb. 25, 1998. The patent
application number is 383/MAS/1998 A. The international classification is
H01H9/00. According to the
Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks, "A display
device for indicating movement and position of a rotary component, such as a
motor drive of a tap selector switch, comprises a mounting plate provided
with a first circular scale having symbols associated with individual
switching steps, which are run through during switching of the component from
one operational position into another operational position. The first scale
is wiped by a first pointer which rotates through 3600 during each switching
process. The plate is also provided with a second circular scale having
symbols respectively associated with the individual operational positions of
the component. The second scale is wiped by a second pointer, which during a
switching-over process executes a rotational movement through an angle
corresponding to the spacing between adjacent symbols of the second scale.
Two drag pointers are arranged at the two sides of the second pointer in such
a manner that each drag pointer is entrained by the second pointer on
movement thereof in a respective direction of rotation." Copyright

Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH Files Patent Application for a Position
Reporting Device for a Rotary Component
Indian Patent News
17 August 2011
|
[What follows is
the full text of the article.] New Delhi, Aug.
17 -- Germany based Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH filed patent application
for a position reporting device for a rotary component. The inventors are
Dieter Dohnal and Josef Neumeyer. Maschinenfabrik
Reinhausen GmbH filed the patent application on Feb. 13, 1998. The patent
application number is 292/MAS/1998A. The international classification number
is H 01 H 9/00. According to the
Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks, "A
position-reporting device for, for example, a motor drive of a tap selector
switch serves to detect the instantaneous position of the tap selector switch
and to pass on this information in the form of an electrical signal. The
device comprises a mounting plate . which carries fixed reporting contacts
arranged in a circle and a continuous contact ring arranged concentrically
with this circle, and a rotatable cam disc . The disc produces an electrical
connection between individual ones of the reporting contacts and the contact
rings by way of a contact bridge , the latter being connectible by way of a
toggle switch with a signal output line. The toggle switch is actuable by a
cam profile of the cam disc to so interrupt the connection between the ring
and output line in synchronism with movement of the bridge between successive
reporting contacts that making and breaking contact with the contacts can be
carried out in a non-conductive state thereby to avoid generation of
electrical arcing." About the
