History of
Business |
The operations were originally established in 1917 as THE ALLIANCE
TRADING COMPANY in Cape Town. By the 1950’s there were 50 stores and the option of purchasing on
credit was introduced. By 1970 there were 80 stores. In the 1980’s the WOOLTRU GROUP was
formed as the holding company and in 2002 a restructuring occurred and
TRUWORTHS INTERNATIONAL LTD took over the operations and moved out of the
group and incorporated into TRUWORTHS LTD. |
