Nationala Nuclearelectrica S.A. has awarded contract to GEA Process Engineering
NV for supply of presses.
Negotiated
procedure was followed for awarding this contract. The contract is covered by
the Government Procurement Agreement (GPA) and will not be sub-contracted to
third party. GEA Process did bidding for the contract.
Financing for this
contract is not done by any community funds. The contractor is not selected
through an electronic auction. The criteria of lowest price was opted for
awarding the contract.

Engineering, Columbia, Md., acquired Nu-Con Ltd., Auckland, New Zealand. Nu-Con
will be integrated into GEA Process Engineering under the brand name GEA Nu-Con
and will be part of its Food Drying Systems Strategic Business Unit, which also
includes the activities of GEA Niro, GEA Avapac and GEA Colby. The transaction
remains subject to approval, but is expected to be completed no later than
September.

Danone Baby
Nutrition plans a 50 million investment plan in their production facility in
Macroom, Co. Cork, Ireland. GEA Process Engineering has received an order on 25
million on expanding and upgrading the Macroom plant, as part of the
investment. The investment will finance an expansion and upgrade of the
existing plant and supported by the Irish Government through Enterprise Ireland.
The design phase
of the project started in February 2011 and commercial operations will commence
by the end of the first quarter 2012. The order from Danone will be managed by
GEA Process Engineering s subsidiary in Ireland and act as Danone's single point
of contact for companies within GEA. The Macroom plant will be the largest and
most technologically advanced manufacturing centre in Danone Baby Nutrition's
global network. The expansion will result in a tripling of its capacity to
100,000 tons annually, due to the creation of a new drying line at the plant.
Today, 98% of Macroom s total production is exported and sold in over 60
countries worldwide.
