Novartis volunteer for local causes in CPD

May 11 -- This year, for the second time, Novartis Bangladesh Ltd. hosted the
Community Partnership Day (CPD) at the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the
Paralysed (CRP), which was founded in 1979 in response to the desperate need
for services for spinal injured patients and now focuses on a holistic approach
to rehabilitation. Thousands of Novartis associates commit to helping others
and volunteer in their local communities to commemorate the 15th anniversary of
CPD. The day demonstrates the long-standing commitment of Novartis to being a
responsible company and is a way to give back to the communities in which it
operates. "Singe 1998, we are performing the Novartis Community
Partnership day in Bangladesh with the commitment of extending time and support
to the vast majority of our society. The day gives us the opportunity as an
individual to reflect on our social responsibilities and that together we make
a difference to people and Society" remarked Ashfaque Ur Rahman, Managing
Director, Novartis (Bangladesh) Ltd. In Bangladesh, more than 80 associates are
spending the day with the students and patients of CRP. The associates plan to

May 10 -- Novartis Bangladesh Limited, a multinational medicine producing
company based in Basel of Switzerland, hosted a programme at the Centre for the
Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) in Savar recently marking the 15th
anniversary of the Community Partnership Day, said a press release.

than 80 associates of the company spent the day with the students and patients
of CRP. The associates also took part in different cultural and sports events
jointly with students and patients of the CRP.
