effective today, Jeffery A. Leonard has joined the Company as its Executive
Vice President, North American Industrial Division. Jeff
comes to Alamo Group from Metso Minerals Industries Inc., a global supplier
of sustainable technology and services for mining, construction, power
generation, automation, recycling and the pulp and paper industries, where he
was Senior Vice President of the Comminution Business Unit and Global
Manufacturing. He was with Metso and its predecessor company, Nordberg, for
the last fourteen years. Prior to that, Jeff held various management

Delhi, June 1 -- USA based Metso Minerals Industries Inc filed patent
application for rotary rail car dumper load weighing system. The inventors
are Insana Samuel P, Smith Kent R and Prince-Wright Peter J. Metso
Minerals Industries Inc filed the patent application on Aug. 29, 2011. The
patent application number is 1136/KOL/2011 A. The international
classification number is B65G67/50. According
to the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks, "A
weighing system for a rotary rail car dumper. The rotary rail car dumper
includes a frame assembly that receives a rail car including contents to be
weighed. A series of trunnions are positioned to rotatably support the frame
assembly and allow the frame assembly to be rotated to dump the contents of
the rail car. A weight gauge is positioned on each of the trunnions. The
weight gauge generates a signal based upon the force applied to the
respective trunnion by the weight of the frame assembly and rail car. In one
embodiment, the weight gauges are a series of strain gauges that generate an
electrical signal based upon the force applied to the strain gauge. A control
unit receives the electrical signals from the strain gauges and determines
the weight of the rail car before and after the contents of the rail car have
