Biography : Born
on 30-06-1965 Myrtleford, Victoria, Australia.
After graduating with the highest academic average of the
class of
’82 at Mt
Beauty High School Chris commenced a degree in computer science and focused his
sporting career on cross country skiing.
Having already attained
Australian National Champion for 9 consecutive years, his sporting career was
played out on an international scale spending northern winters competing on the
International cross country circuit. He competed at the World Championships,
World Cup and Olympic Games and attained the best-ever Olympic result for an
Australian in cross country skiing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. During
his years as a skier he refined his computer skills by designing and building
race timing systems; thus “raising the bar” on the quality of ski races in
Australia.
With a degree
in computer science from the Australian National University Chris funded his
sporting career with contract programming. He also provided business services
in Mt. Beauty and Falls Creek implementing hardware and software solutions in
an environment where the PC was just beginning to mature and becoming available
to smaller businesses.
In 1991 Chris met Klaas
Sybranda, who shared a mutual interest in business systems development. Talking
about the right development tools and comparing programming notes led to the
development of various software packages and a prototype for a Windows based
POS system.
Name : Klaas Sybranda
Designation : Director
Appointment date : 29/09/04
Address : 64 Basildon Road
Lesmurdie, WA 6076
Australia
Biography : Born
on 26-07-1953 in Netherlands.
Klaas attended University of Western Australia, Claremont
studying
an arts degree
and diploma of education. After a few years working in various sales and marketing
positions he started an advertising agency. Clients initially included shopping
centers, car dealerships and plant nurseries requiring merchandising. In the
early 80?s the agency created W.A’s first buy and sell magazine, Auto Shopper.
Klaas specialized in corporate image design, annual reports and exhibition
displays.
From 1986,
living in North East, Victoria, Klaas’s time was focused on business interests
in desktop publishing, a computer retailing operation and a restaurant.
Klaas and Chris
met in 1991 and worked together informally sharing their interest in software
development where their complementary skill sets created various business
systems for restaurant point of sale, bus bookings and property management.
By 1993 the
success of this casual collaboration led to the formation of Intouch Technology
and a contract to develop and install a ticketing system at Falls Creek Ski
Resort, Victoria, Australia.
