BUSINESSOVERVIEW:

During the year, the Company added 2.4 Million subscribers. The penetration in Direct to Home (DTH) is happening at a much faster rate than expected. The DTH Industry added around 13.5 Million subscribers in the period. This phenomenon is likely to continue.

On account of lower entry cost in the Direct to Home Services and variety of choice being offered by the DTH Service Providers, the market is poised for much larger growth.

Their journey of financial year 2010-2011 started on a positive note. During the year, we saw major sporting events like FIFA World Cup, ICC World Cup, Common Wealth Games and Indian Premier League being (IPL) held at various places. This has resulted into the phenomenal growth of the industry, both in terms of revenue and addition of subscriber base. We associated with IPL in April 2010, through Kolkata Knight Riders.

During the year, we strengthened, content wise, by launching their own Active Music Space with 20 Audio and 2 Video Channels thereby offering a wide genre of Audio Music Channels like Gurbani, Islamic Devotional, Bengali Devotional, Marathi Devotional, Sai Amrit, etc., In the month of August, we gained the platform of maximum channels and services among all DTH players. We made this as their communication focal point. We communicated this strength across India. This was also supported with highest number of channels in regional languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, Kannada, Punjabi, Bengali, Odiya and North East Channels.
