GSL Medical College & General Hospitals is an Educational institute recognized by MCI / Govt. of India is affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada and was established in the year 2013. It is engaged in providing healthcare and medical education services. GSL Medical College was established with a mission of bringing Medicare of International Standards to the door steps of the rural poor and to roll out medical graduates of modern scientific medicine capable of functioning independently in both urban and rural environment. GSL General Hospital (GSL GH) is a thousand bedded tertiary care multi-specialty hospital attached to the College. It was commissioned on 01-01-2002 with the objectives of providing urban healthcare facilities to the rural poor at an affordable cost. Note: Site Visit was conducted at the given address and our executive has successfully traced the subject on the given address. At the premises our executive met security Guard and he confirmed that subject is situated at the given address. During the site visit our executive also enquired with Mr. Raju (Andhra Bank) and he confirmed that subject is situated on the given address. As per our executive’s observation, it is a 5 storey building and the entire premises belongs to the subject. Location was easy to find and locality appears to be commercial. Area seems to be upmarket. Total area of premises is 10 (Acers) and 20 employees were sighted at the premises. Name board of the subject was sighted on the given address. |

GSL Medical College is established with a divine mission of bringing Medicare

GSL is located in salubrious environment abutting National Highway-16. It is 12 km from the historical city, Rajamahendravaram - the Vedic, Cultural & Literary capital of Andhra Pradesh. Rajamahendravaram domestic airport is about 10 km from the college.
GSL Medical College & Hospital are built on a sprawling
85 acres picturesque locale. The departments, class rooms, library and
laboratories are housed in airy, bright and well ventilated buildings. The
interspersing lush green lawns and beautiful gardens provide pleasant, fragrant
heavenly atmosphere. The clean, healthy, serene and tranquil surroundings

At GSL we promote self-directed, explorative learning and research at every
level. The college is equipped with state of art medical equipments,
audiovisual aids and library. Regular CMEs, workshops, seminars and guest
lectures by eminent professors drawn from all over the globe form vibrant

AWARDS AND
ACHEIVEMENTS OF THE COLLEGE:
· The college has signed Linkage agreement for scholarly exchange exchange with West Virginia University, USA. The first batch of two medical students and a professor of Internal medicine from West Virginia University School of Health Sciences spent four week in Jan/Feb 2011 in GSL Medical College.
· The College has also signed an MoU with Eye foundation of America for academic exchange. Under this agreement two of our students were trained in West Virginia School of Medicine for four weeks last year. This year Ms. Kolli Kanta Ratnam and Mr B Manikanta are selected for training in selected medical schools in USA. In Nov 2011, Johns Hospkins University faculty visited this college and delivered guest lectures. Proposals for faculty exchange and collaborative study were discussed.

During this academic year 29 continued medical education programs sponsored by
the university and the management of the college were conducted. Two state
level conferences and one regional conference were held in the college. 13
eminent medical scientists delivered guest lectures.
· Twenty six undergraduate medical students submitted proposals for ICMR medical research projects in the current academic year. Ten students successfully completed their ICMR-STS projects. Some of these students presented their research papers in National conferences held at Sevagram, Tiruvanantapuram, Nagpur etc and earned accolades from the scientific community .
· Dr Manisha Mahapatra, Professor of Pathology was awarded cash prize and certificate for best paper presented in Indian Cancer Society conference held in Bhubaneswar from 11 – 13 Feb 2011.
·
Dr S Satyanarayana, Conducted a workshop on
“Cytological diagnosis of infective lesions” in Scotland from 20 to 23 May 2010
and ‘Slide seminar in Pulmonary Cytology’ in Turkey in Sep 11.
· Mr N Lakshman Rao, Lecturer in statistics was awarded M.Phil by Andhra University in April 11.
· Dr Ch. L Soujanya, Asst Prof DVL: Gold medal for academic excellence during silver jubilee celebrations of NTR UHS; Best poster award at AP CTICON 11.

was awarded Fellowship of American college of Cardiology, New Orleans.
